Signal 2252

Between Pinta and Adamana, there is only one signal location featuring cantilever bridges, the others have full bridges. Signal 2252 and Signal 2251 (to the right, and out of the picture) sit on cantilevers. So why did this location warrant cantilevers, which lies on a tangent, while the others have bridges? If there is a reason, it is lost to time; however, it's possible that at one time there was a crossover or a siding.
