Adamana South Siding -- a Sequence

2. Approaching Westward Movement

Suddenly, the dwarf flips red. There's something behind, coming west. The limits of our dwarf extends 3 blocks behind. The first signal bridge behind us is 2311, which is east of the siding. The second signal bridge is 2291, approximately 3.8 miles east of our location. And the third bridge is bridge 2271, roughly 5.8 miles behind. Once a train passes 2271, the dwarf goes red. This prevents any movement from leaving the siding in front of a westward train. Notice the dwarf has no number plate, making it an absolute stop-and-stay when red, even though the signal is an automatic. A train would need permission from the dispatcher to advance beyond the dwarf in the event of a red signal.
